Given:

Mass percentage = 20%

Mass or weight of the mixture or solution =  100 gram

To Find:

Mass or weight of glucose = ?

Solution:

We calculate the value of mass of glucose by this formula

Mass- percentage is the mass or weight of solute divided by total mixture or solution weight ( mass or weight of solute plus weight or mass of solvent) multiply by 100

Mass percentage help in determining or measuring concentration of one element in the total mixture

Mass (in percentage) = \dfrac{solute Mass}{ solution mass} 100

20 = \dfrac{ x}{ 100} 100

x = 20 gm

20 gram mass of glucose is dissolved in total 100 gram of mixture
