What mass of silver nitrate will react with 5.05g of sodium chloride to produce 14.35g of silver chloride and 8.5g of sodium nitrate?

by the law of conservation of mass given by Lavoisier we have,

mass of reactant= mass of product

mass of(silver nitrate+sodium chloride)

=mass of (silver chloride+sodium nitrate)

Therefore,mass of silver nitrate (x)+5.05g=(14.35+8.5)g

x+5.05=22.85

x=22.85-5.05

x=17.80g
