let the mass of sodium chloride be 'x'

x+barium chloride =Barium sulphate + sodium chloride

X + 5.22 gram = 2.8 + 6.10 gram

X + 5.22 gram = 8.9 gram

x =8.9 gram - 5.22 gram

x =3.68 gram
