Given data :

Mass of solute = 5 g

Mass of Solution = Mass of NaCl + Mass of H₂o

Let us assume Mass of H₂O be x grams

Mass / Mass % = 5 %

=> Mass / Mass % = Mass of solute / Mass of solution

=> 5 % = 5 g / 5 g + x grams * 100%

=> 5 ( 5 + x ) = 5 * 100

=> 25 + 5 x = 500

=> 5x = 500 - 25

=> 5x = 475

=> x = 475 / 5 = 95 g

Hence Mass of water added is 95 g.
