copper because it is the good conductor of electricity

shashankpandey1294: Fuse elements of fast acting fuses and HV fuses are primarily made of silver (Ag). Silver plated copper is also commonly used. As a rule, fuse elements of time delay fuses contain low melting point materials, e.g. tin (Sn) or zinc (Zn) and alloys thereof.
coolabhishek124: Answer is correct but not complete complete because i want to know can we use any metallic wire as a fuse wire if yes then why if no then why thank you for trying this thank you very much
cxp: bro if you have a wire which will let the excess electric current also to flow through it then it will start messin with ur e-appliances
cxp: so you won't have a metallic wire with the same properties used in transporting the high current
cxp: ie low resistance is not preferred

fuse wire is used to cut the flow of electric current when the flow of current is excess.
so for that the wire must break when the electric current flowing through it increases and for such a wire it must have high resistance and low melting point
