Many physicists today think that that at the core of a neutron star exists a state of matter called a Quark-Gluon Plasma. When quarks exist inside neutrons and protons they get involved in high speed interactions (flavor changes).

AryanAttri9: see
AryanAttri9: there are quarks which make protons and neutrons
AryanAttri9: and those are know as up quarks and down quarks
AryanAttri9: in the core of the neutron star the bonding of these quark break
AryanAttri9: because of that quark matter is formed
AryanAttri9: now there is so much pressure on the quarks that some up quarks and down quarks gets change into strange quarks
AryanAttri9: and that is how strange matter is formed in the core of neutron star
AryanAttri9: it is so stable that what ever it touches becomes strange matter
AryanAttri9: it means if a drop of strange matter strike earth the whole earth will become strange matter
