It is important to protect the crops by cutting off the undesirable plant known as weed.

The removal of weed is known as weeding.

In order to prevent insects from attacking the crops, the farmers often use pesticides and insecticides to kill them off.

Fresh crops are put in airtight containers after they are dried off.

If there is moisture remaining in them and are stored that way, then the crops can get spoiled.

Storing grains in a proper manner is the most important process after harvesting from the receptive plants. Spoilage in grains will be the result if the grains have not been treated in a proper way before storing.

Food grains must have to be dried under sun light before storing in order to eliminate the moisture content in the grains. Moisture content of the grains will lead to spoilage of the grains by the growth of fungus and molds when they are stored.

Usually dried grains can be stored in gunny bags or metal containers with some dried Neem leaves in order to prevent the intervention of insects and moths.
