Answer:

A new governing class was formed by Iltutmish, which was ruling elite of the period and was known as Turkan-i-chahalgani or chalisa ( a group of forty ). He divided his kingdom into several small and big iqtas, as assignment of land instead of salar. In the medieval Indian currency system, the reign of Iltutmish stands out to be a milestones as he was the first Turkish ruler to introduced a purely Arabic coinage. He introduced the two basic coins of the Sultanate period, the copper coin ( jital ) and the silver coin ( tanka ). He also completed the construction of Qutub Minar  which was started by Aibek.
