Some measures taken by the Jacobin government (Robespierre's government) to bring about equality are as follows:-
1. Equality was to be practiced through forms of speech and address. His government banned the use of the old titles of the aristocracy. Henceforth, all people of France were to be called Citiyen or Citoynee (Citizen).
2. His government placed a maximum ceiling on wages and prices of essential goods.
