ii, Issuance of directions under section of environmental protection act to industries to eliminate water pollution.

iii. By setting up of monitoring network for assessment of water quality.

iv. preparation of action plan for sewage management and restoration of water quality in aquatic resources.

v. financial assistance  for installation of common effluent treatment plants for cluster of small scale industrial units

The Measures which are taken to Control the Pollution in Indian River are ⇒

(1) ⇒ Namani Gange Project ⇒ Under this Project Government is planing to make the areas around the river defection free and to achieve zero degree recharge into the river.

(2) ⇒ Strict Enforcement of Industrial Effluents Standards.

(3) ⇒ Issuance of the Direction under section (5) of the environment protection act,1986 to reduce the water pollution of the River.

(4) ⇒ Preparation of action plan for sewage management and restoration of water quality in aquatic resources by State Governments.

(5) ⇒ Installation of on-line continuous (24x7) monitoring devices by major industries, which mostly causes the Pollution in River.

(6) 
⇒ All the Pipelines which transfers the dirty sewage, untreated Pollutants and also leachate to the River are banned.
