1) war drum was silenced after kalinga war
2) he build many stupas for the buddhist monks
3) he build many rest houses , wells water tanks, etc
4) he adopted dharma and said his people too to adopt dharma
5) he formed a commitee of people called dharmasutras who looked after the welfare of people and spread the message of dharma
