   THE FOLLOWING STEPS WERE TAKEN BY ALLAUDDIN KHALJI :-

• Armament factories were set up and skilled engineers and technicians appointed.

• A permanent and separate army was prepared for the defence of the North-West Frontier.
• To secure Sultanate's frontiers against Mongol invasions, Alauddin Khalji built several new forts and repaired older ones along the north-western frontier of the Empire in Punjab and Sindh.
• He put strong army contingents in places like Samana and Dipalpur. He also built a wall around Delhi for the same.
