Robespierre consider ex-nobles , ex-cleargy members , members of other political parties , members of his own party who went against him ,etc as his enemies.

He arrested , convicted and gullotined them. Which means he beheaded them. It is believed that almost 17,000 people were gullotined within the span of one year.

Gullotine was a apparatus that had two masts , an angled blade which was forced to fall onto the neck of the person who was held up by some kind of wooden plates.

His extreme power control and strict rules are the reason for this error called as the reign of terror.

His rules were so strict that his on party members as if they could be change a bit . At last Maximilien Robespierre was also gullotined .
