Truely, I read that story long back;) so I forgot the particular incidents but yes I remember that

There was a statue of The Happy Prince. People used to respect him a lot till the time it was gold plated and had Ruby. When the bird gave all the precious things to poor people and Prince was very happy but people didn't like the way statue looked .As all its glory was no more.And in the and the statute was put down and the bird also died.

Moral- People respect money not the values.The Happy Prince was not happy to see the suffering of poor people.But he was then happy to help them. Wealth is not everything ,the thing which matters the most is Happiness..

After reading the chapter THE HAPPY PRINCE.
I have learnt that we should help others.
we shouldn't just live for ourselves but we should sacrifice our happiness ,comfort for others happiness.
There is nothing great rather than helping others in misery.
