The poem teaches us that our talent must be our own and must not blindly imitate others. And we must have self confidence and believe in ourselves.

Dear friends, in the poem, The Frog and the Nightingale, Vikram Seth describes the talent of the nightingale and how the frog exploits it. The nightingale blindly followed the frog's instructions and tried to pacify it till the end.
But, the frog earned the money by using the talent of the bird and shouted at it when the bird lost its melodious voice. It also tried to sing like the bird, which ended in futile.
So, everyone's talent is unique and it cannot be copied.
