Message the poet wants to convey to children through the poem, "Oh, I Wish I'd Looked After Me Teeth' is that as by eating too many toffees and sweets the poet is regretting that if she had taken care of her teeth, then she would not have to go through these painful days like visiting to the dentist.
Though she was far away from her mother's instructions to brush properly or look. after her teeth as a friend.
The poem teaches a great lesson to us in dental hygiene. To take care of our teeth, one should brush the teeth twice a day properly, brushing up and down and covering all the teeth. In addition, one should floss the teeth regularly. Visit the dentist ag least once a year to get our teeth checked. Avoid eating too many sweets as sweet and sticky candies stick to our teeth for long and cause them to decay.
By maintaining this discipline strictly, one can take care of their teeth, especially the children.
