Virtually True" is a science fiction story about the consciousness of a child surviving in a computer game. Michael and Sebastian become friends, in spite of the fact that Sebastian was in a coma state in reality. The lines between science fact and science fiction, becomes blurred in this story. To a certain extent Sebastian survives, because Michael plays the games. Thus, it is also a story of strangers becoming friends and overcoming adversities together, as represented in the computer games.

With the advent of computers,
real truth and virtually true are getting mixed up. In this story “virtually true” Michael gets a
gift from his father, a computer, which is filled with computer games. He starts playing “psycho-drive games” and
meets a boy named Sebastian. He gets to
save him only in the last game. The day
Michael saves Sebastian virtually, he reads in a newspaper that “a boy in coma
got back his consciousness” and that was none other than Sebastian. So, in real, Sebastian is saved by reliving
the games with Michael.
