Cross Pollination is not something that plants can do by themselves, therefore they have to depend upon external agents to do it for them.
In some cases, the pollen is transferred by the natural elements like wind.
In other cases, creatures that have the ability of locomotion are used to do the work.
Pollen sticks to bees and birds when they come near a fertile plant for nectar.
When they go to other flowers, the pollen gets transferred to it.
