Two ways by which the Bastar rebellion was suppressed were :
- British sent troops to to suppress the rebellion. When the adivasi leaders tried to negotiate, the British surrounded their camps and fired upon them.
- The British troops further marched into the villages flogging and punishing those who had taken part in the rebellion. Most villages were deserted as people fled into jungles.
Result of rebellion : Work on reservation of forests was temporarily suspended and the area to be reserved was reduce to roughly half of that planned before 1910.
Hope this helps!
