*note, if you are familiar with counterclockwise, then it's the same as anticlockwise or vice versa.

Answer: Don't mind but I m correcting you, it's Maxwell's Screw rule.

Think of it this way, you are given a straight wire, if you have been given the current is towards upward direction, then the current is anticlockwise according to screw rule, because when you unlock a screw, it goes up and you are moving it in anticlockwise direction then. Similarly it's clockwise when you are moving it downwards to tighten the screw.

In case of a circular loop, you should take the case of one side at a time. Suppose if the current is given to be flowing in clockwise direction, then first check the portion in which the current is going upwards like, if I have the loop, the left side has its current going up and right side has it coming down. So two cases are obtained. So double magnetic field is produced. One in clockwise and other in anticlockwise.

Thus there's another similar question which says when do we get more magnetic field, when the wire is straight or in a loop, the answers is when it is in a loop, reason is the same, there is double magnetic field produced.

Hope you understand
