Lysosomes use forty different types of lysosomal enzymes. Lysosomal enzymes are synthesized in the endoplasmicreticulm and then sent to Golgi apparatus. These enzymes assist in the process of digestion. Absence of these enzymes result in serious digestion problems. Moreover, this will also leads to lysosomal storage diseases like Tay Sachs disease and Pompe's disease.
