From the chapter 'the proposal' written by Anton Chekhov, we learn how important it is to maintain cordial relationship with our neighbours. In the chapter, lomov, a young man who intended to propose Natalya ended up quarreling with her and her father due to his short temper. He, Natalya and her father, all of them quarreled over trivial matters which might have become a cause for the rejection of proposal. Though, in the end, they were hurriedly married by chubukov as he thought lomov was a good marriage prospect. But this story shows that one should learn how to manage disputes and end the fight rather than quarreling on and on like kids.
