Given ,

x be added to each term of ratio 2:5

⇒( 2 + x )/(5 + x)

To make it 5 : 6

⇒ ( 2 + x )/(5 + x) = 5 /6

⇒ 12 + 6x = 25 + 5x

⇒ 6x - 5x = 25 - 12

⇒ x = 13


Therefore , We must be added 13 to each term of ratio 2 : 5 to make it 5 : 6
