Given

Find

We are asked to determine the difference between greatest number and smalllest number.

Solution

On, arranging the 1,3,5,4,2,7 digits in ascending order (increasing) , we get  $1,2,3,4,5,7$ hence, the smallest number is 123457.

On arranging the 2,5,7,8,9,0 digits in descending order (decreasing ) , we get  $9,8,7,5,2,0$ hence , the greatest number is 987520 .

Difference $=Greatest-smallest$

                  $=987520-123457$

                  $=864063$

Hence, 864063 should be added to the smallest number to get the sum as greatest number .
