Reaction of Acids and Bases with each other :-

Base + Acid ------------> Salt + water.

The reaction between an acid and a base to give a salt and water it is known as neutralisation reaction. Generally, heat is given out during this reaction and the acidic properties of the acid disappear.

e.g ,

HCl (aq) + NaOH(aq) ----> NaCl (aq) +

Hydro- Sodium sodium

-chloric hydroxide chloride

(acid.) (base) (salt)

+ H2O (l)

water.

Hope it helps you
