What must be multiplied to -4/9 to get 1/2

 \frac{-4}{9}  × ___ =  \frac{1}{2}
Let us assume the value as "z"
⇒  \frac{-4}{9}  × z =  \frac{1}{2}
⇒ z =  \frac{1}{2}  ×   \frac{-9}{4}  
⇒  \frac{-3}{2}  
∴ the number to be multiplied by is  \frac{-3}{2}

Let the no.be X.................ATQ.------> -4/9× X= 1/2.....................X= 1/2× 9/-4......= 9/-8 or simply -9/8 .............
