Let the number be x.
ATQ,
5/7 * x = 4
x = 4 * 7/5 (Reciprocal)
x = 28/5

Thus, 28/5 must be multiplied by 4/7 to get 4. :)

Let the number be x.

So according to the question,

x \times  \frac{5}{7}  = 4 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{5x}{7}  = 4 \\  \\  =  > 5x = 7 \times 4 \\  \\  =  > 5x = 28 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{28}{5}  \\  \\  =  > x = 5.6

\boxed{\red{So\: 5.6\:is  \:the \:required\:number}}

Verification of my answer :

5 / 7 * 5.6

= 5 / 7 * 56 / 10

= 280 / 70

= 28 / 7

= 4 [ hence proved ]
