 \frac{ -1 }{2}  - ( \frac{ -1 }{2}) \\  =  \frac{ - 1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{2}  = 0

0 is a integer

 \frac{ -1 }{2}  -  \frac{ 1 }{2}\\  =   - 1

-1 is also a integer
