For example water, sugar, salt, Sodium, Tin etc. There are two types of pure substances that are Elements and Compounds. Examples of elements are: Iron, Silver, Gold, Mercury etc. Examples of compounds are: Water, Carbon dioxide, methane, vinegar etc.
