Personality cult: Stalin had a larger than life image. He was very careful to protect his public image. Same with Modi. Both took utmost care to get clicked maximum number of times in public. Stalin’s image was so good in a the country that even the people dying in Gulaags (labour camps) used to write to Stalin to save them because they thought he was not aware of what wrong was happening!Rule with iron hand: Millions died because of Stalin’s “purging”of Russia from anti-national people. He used to hate more of internal threats than external. Same with Modi, that his govt tries to treat all opposition as anti national. Many supporters welcome these moves by Modi these days but only history shall judge correctly.Economic transformation of the country: Both tried for economic transformation for their countries from peasant economy to industrial economy. Stalin was successful but at the cost of the lives of millions of peasants. Growing number of farmer suicides in India also show some similarity.Using excessive nationalism to gain power: and stay in power. Same for both of them. Even the people who lost many loved ones due to Stalin cried when he died!☺☺☺❤❤
