The best way to preserve paintings is to promote and commercialize the art of paintings.
Often paintings depict the culture, tradition, and history of the nation. BINGO.. we happen to be extremely rich and diverse in these, and thus there lies great potential. Camera lenses are available in the size of a shirt button, but those images will never fullfil what paintings does.
While on my trip to Bali, which is a Hindu majority island, I was stunned to see the cultural preservation through paintings in the tiny island. The place is filled with tourist and with apt infrastructure, but there are many art schools and art museums all over the places. The local participation was overwhelming and also attracted many foreginers to learn the art of paintings. The painting were primarily based on the Hindu gods, old tales, culture and tradition. It struck to me that, we could learn many things from those people to preserve our art. I would like to attach few photos of painting from my trip.
