what
Explanation:
Over the years, I have learned a few things about people, and how to function in the workplace.
Be neutral. It's good to have your own opinions, but whenever you are working with people it is best to have a neutral approach/outlook. In my observations a difference of opinion has been one of the biggest sources of conflict between workers, so keep your opinions to yourself, and focus on being a good worker. Save your opinions for when you are away from the workplace, and be careful what you post online.
Always be alert. Just observing your environment can benefit you. You’ll be able to gauge if somebody needs help, will learn from the people around you, and will be able to have a better understanding of how your job functions. Put yourself in a position where you are able to learn how everything works, at least in your sector of the job you’re in, because it will serve to benefit you in the long run.
Learn your job well. You don't have to be the best worker, but learning how to do your job well can open doors for you in the long run. Learn what is expected of you, and do your best to deliver.
Ignore gossip. Don't get involved with workplace gossip. It's does more harm than good to your reputation, and is overall a poor habit, so stay out of it.
