EXPLANATION:

No one knows the real name of the sphinx. It is only the human effort at various stages that had helped in finding evidence and information regarding the mysterious huge ancient lion which has a human head. It has been discovered that it was assembled but it was carved on a single huge mass of limestone.

When the workers dug up the area quarry in Giza plateau they were able to get some kind of evidence regarding the sphinx. The sphinx is about 240 feet long and it is around 66 feet tall. The researchers were also able to understand that during some time the sphinx was painted in red colour.
