what no. should be subtracted from-2/3 to get -1/6?

hey... here's ur answer,

let the no. which should be subtracted from -2 /3 is = x

-2 / 3. - x. = -1/6

-2/ 3 + 1/6. = x

( -12 + 3 ) / 18. = x

-9 / 18. = x

-1/ 2 = x.

hence no. which should be subtracted from -2 / 3. to get -1 / 6. Is. -1/ 2
