let the no. which is subtracted be x
x from(-5/3)=5/6
-5/3-x=5/6
-x=5/6+5/3
-x=5+10/6
-x=15/6
x= -15/6
x= -5/2

let x be the no

so,     [-5/3]-x = 5/6

              -x     = 5/6+5/3 = 5/6+10/6 = 15/6

               x      = -15/6
