  • Value of Blue colour = 1
  • Value of White colour = 8
  • Value of Red color = 5

1 8 5

1 8 5

+ 1 8 5

——————

5 5 5 (Result)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us represent

Blue colour as 'B'

White colour as 'W'

Red colour as 'R'

According to the question

=> R + R + R = R (unit digit)

=> 3R = R (unit digit)

Now, the value of R should be equal to the unit place (R) of the result

We cannot take any number other than 0 and 5 , because on adding them we cannot have the same value for the unit place

On putting 0, the result will not exist

So, the unit place is => 5

We get, 3 × 5 = 15 {where R = 5}

1 will be counted on the tenth place

=> W + W + W + 1 = R

=> 3W + 1 = 5 (tenth place)

W cannot be any number other than 8. Since on multiplying 8 i.e W with 3 and adding 1 simultaneously, we get 25, which unit place is 5

We get, 3 × 8 + 1 = 25 {where R = 5}

2 will be counted on hundredth place

=> B + B + B + 2 = R

=> 3B + 2 = 5

=> 3B = 3

=> B = 1

Therefore, we get

  • R = 5
  • W = 8
  • B = 1
