What number must be subtracted from each term of the ratio 9:16 to make the ratio 2:3

let the 9:16 can be 9x and 16x

let the 2:3 can be 2x and 3x

9x-16x=2x-3x

transpose -3x to the left side and -16 to the right side then,

9x+3x=2x+16x

12x=18x

cancel 12 and 18 in two table then,

6x=9x

now cancel 6 and 9 in 3 table then,

2x=3x

now,

2/3 = x/x

2/3 =1

every duvided form can be write in the ratio form..

2/3=2:3
