Answer:17/9

LET THE NUMBER TO BE ADDED BE X

SO , X + ( - 1 ) = 8/ 9

TAKE 1 TO THE OTHER SIDE

X = 8 / 9 + 1

TAKING 9 AS LCM ,

X = ( 8 + 9 )/9

X = 17/9

HOPE THIS HELPS
