Let the number be ' X '

x + ( - 3 / 5 ) = 3 / 7

x = 3 / 7 + 3 / 5 LCM = 35

x = 15 / 35 + 21 / 35

x = 36 / 35.

Therefore 36 / 35 should be added to ( - 3 / 5 ) to get 3 / 7 .
