GIVEN: Number is -5/12  sum of two number is 7/6

TO FIND: the other number

SOLUTION:

Sum of the two numbers is \frac{7}{6}.

What we should add \frac{-5}{12} so we can get \frac{7}{6}.

According to the question

We don't know the other number so we have supposed it as x.

\frac{-5}{12} + x = \frac{7}{6}

x = \frac{7}{6} + \frac{5}{12}

Now we will take the LCM of 6,12 and is 12.

x = \frac{14 + 5 }{12}

x = \frac{19}{12}.

So, the number i\frac{9}{12}.

The number which should be added to \frac{-5}{12} get \frac{7}{6} is \frac{19}{12}.
