I think This type your question:

 \frac{5}{16} \:  and \: 1 \frac{3}{8}

To that number should the added solution:-

let \: x \: the \: added

x +  \frac{5}{16}  = 1 \frac{3}{8}

x =  \frac{11}{8}  -   \frac{5}{16}

Hence the answer is.
