x = 7/8 + 4/9

x = ( 63 + 32 )/72

LCM=8

Equalising the fractions accordingly

 \frac{ - 7 \times 1}{8 \times 1} +  \frac{x \times 8}{1 \times 8} =  \frac{4}{9}

We get

 \frac{ - 7 + 8x}{8}  =  \frac{4}{9}

Cross multiplying both the sides

9(8x - 7) = 8 \times 4

72x - 63 = 32

Taking -63 to RHS

72x = 32 + 63

72x = 95

Taking 72 to RHS

x =  \frac{95}{72}
