let the number be "x "

8 /14 + x = - 2 / 7

x = - 2/ 7 - 8 / 14

x = - ( 2 / 7 + 8 / 14 )

x = - ( 28 + 56 ) / 98

x = - 84 / 98

x = - 42 / 49

x = - 6 / 7

hey mate! here's your answer!

let x be the number that should be added to 8/14.

so,

x + \frac{8}{14} = \frac{ - 2}{7}

x = \frac{ - 2}{7} - \frac{8}{14}

x = \frac{ - 4 - 8}{14}

x = \frac{ - 12}{14}

x = \frac{ - 6}{7}

so, -6/7 is the answer.

hope it is helpful ✌️!
