What number should be added to polynomial x square - 5 x + 4 so that 3 is a zero of polynomial so obtained?

Let P(x) = x^2 -5x + 4 & number to be added is k. Then,
P(3) = 3^2 - 5×3 + 4+k = 0.
k = 2
Thus number to be added is 2
