what number should be subtracted from -2 upon 3 to get minus 1 upon 6​

let the number subtracted be x

-2/3 -x = 1/6

-2/3 -3x/3 = 1/6

-3x/3 = 1/6 +2/3

-3x/3 = 1/6+ 4/6

-3x/3 = 5/6

we will do cross multiply

x= 3*5/ -3*6

x = 5/-6

hence x = -5/6
