By the given condition,

⇒ - 5/3 - x = - 2/7

⇒ x = - 5/3 + 2/7

⇒ x = { - (5 × 7) + (2 × 3) }/21

⇒ x = (- 35 + 6)/21

⇒ x = - 29/21

∴ the required number is (- 29/21)
