Sum of 3/14 and -4/7

→ 3/14+(-4/7)

→ 3/14-4/7

→ 3/14 - 4/7×2/2

→ 3/14 - 8/14

→ (3-8)/14

→ -5/14

Let the number be x

x should be subtracted from the sum of 3/14 and -4/7 to get 13/21

-5/14 - x = 13/21

x = -5/14 - 13/21

x = -5/14×3/3 - 13/21×2/2

x = -15/42 - 26/42

x = (-15-26)/42

x = -41/42

Therefore,-41/42 should be subtracted from the sum of 3/14 and -4/7 to get 13/21.

Hope it helps.
