When iron fillings are added to copper sulphate solution iron displaces copper as iron is more reactive than copper . thus the blue colour of copper sulphate solution change to green colour of iron sulphate.
when ferrous sulphate crystals are heated it undergoes decomposition reaction and ferrous oxide, Sulphur dioxide, sulphur trioxide are obtained.
