In the play, Julius Caesar written by William Shakespeare, Calpurnia is the wife of Julius Caesar and she has been portrayed as a caring, anxious and a concerned wife.

She usually never believed in superstitions but she was protective regarding her husband and started becoming concerned because of a terrible dream that she witnessed one night and suddenly started believing in omens and signs.

Out of her concern for Caesar, she interpreted her terrible nightmare surrounding the death of Caesar as a bad omen and tried to protect her husband from the danger that was about to come.
