The main types of landforms are as follows:

1. Plain- Plain is a huge flat area with a large number of trees. They are not much elevated and exist on every continent. There are various types of plains such as prairies, grasslands, and steppes.

2. Valley - A valley is defined as an area that is drained by Rivers and their tributaries. They are the most predominant landforms on our planet. There are 2 types of valleys, U-shaped and V-shaped.

3. Plateau- Plateaus are flat and elevated. It is a Highland area, usually higher than its surroundings. They occur on every continent.

4. Mountain- They are the landforms that rise above their surrounding are. They can also form a chain.
